red Dram light on

my motherborad chrased a coupel of weeks ago, i ordered a new on and put it ind today but
the Dram lights red

so i was wondering if it should do that even if i have no ram in my sockets.
and would Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9 be a replacment if it is the ram that is the problem

i tryed to check it here but got my self confused https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z97PRO_GAMER/HelpDesk_QVL/

rig consists of

asus b85 pro gaming
nvidea gtx 770
i7 4770
right now i have kingston hyper x beast 2133 Hz ram

it works with one stick in slot b1

"well i checked if the motherboard had anny bend pins ind the cpu hup and it didnt so i put the cpu back in a pressed the power button, noticed that the cpu LED blicks red and then the dram LED just goes solid red so im pretty sure"

Are you sure that the CPU socket pins are ok (the issue is usually related to bent pins)?
If yes, then try testing the board out of the case, for ruling out a short,

well if it is a problem with the motherboard i could just sendt it back. it's new

Hard to say. Try testing it outside the case.

i can tell you that its is only the A ram sockets that dont work the too B socket work fine

Have you tested outside , or board is still inside the case?

still in the case but what would the differnce be

If there's a misplaced standoff, it could short the board.
If considering the board's slots as 1234, which ones do work?

What happens when installing single RAM in the closest slot to the CPU?

I suggest though testing the board out of the case. If still the same, since new CPU, then it might be a board issue.

the motherboard was faulty either do to my instalation, or out of the box i dont know.
