Question Red lines

i need help, my Gtx 970 EVGA ACX 2.0 isn’t working properly. When i turn on my pc there’s red lines all over the screen and after it boots into windows the fans stop spinning. Does anyone know what’s wrong with it and if it can be fixed?

Are your drivers up to date? Clean install?

It's dead Jim....

Take it apart, clean it out, put new thermal paste on it, new thermal pads and make sure the drivers are all up to date but based on the red lines, doubtful that'll even do anything.

yeah gpu is probably dead

Can you show me an image of it?

Try a different cable and a different port on the card. If the problem follows with a new cable and port the card is probably on the way out. Its had a good long life of 7 years.
