went into safe mode w/internet: no rsod

on 29jul booted up to rsod.

did some research and saw driver trouble (specifically display adapter driver) was a good candidate. found that nvidia had a driver update, so i had geforce experience install it. clean install. rsod still here.

nothing in the device manager is showing a problem. expanded the catagories and looked.

any ideas where else i should go, from simplest to hardest?

What kind of a error do you see on your screen? I meant the error code when you see a red screen.

If you're able to get into Safe Mode, you should think about backing up all mission critical data, then recreate your bootable USB installer and reinstall your OS in offline mode, manually installing all relevant drivers in an elevated command.

You should also cross reference your laptop's BIOS version with your laptop's support site and see if you have any BIOS updates pending.
