I was given a "spray duster", and thought that was just compressed air. I went to get my motherboard manual from my room, and I came back and someone was spraying it on my CPU heatsink. It appeared that it had some kind of liquid in it that evaporated almost immediately.
I turned my PC on, and it made a really loud whirring noise and the space around my mobo logo was red. It then displayed the American Megatrends sreen, but I had already turned it off before I could read what it said. Is my CPU "dead"? If not, what should I do??

Solution
if you let it get wet and then put electricity on it, then you fried some of most parts of it

start by opening the case and do a search for damaged components

have you saved some money? it sounds like you will have a use for those savings!
