My LCD Topview A1981Wx monitor screen became red after a heavy thunderstorm and lightning while i was not at home. I use this Topview A1981Wx only with my CCTV DVR and the VGA port was damaged and the result is the red screen. I connected the monitor to a spare PC, started up ok with bootscreen as well as windows loading with no problem. Problem is that everything is red, that shows on the screen. I've opened the monitor and see a power board and driver board with a VGA socket on it, now is it possible that the eeprom on this driver board went bad? I used to repair crt tv's a couple of years ago, but i'm a noob regarding LCD. Any advice will be very much appreciated,Thx. I can post a pic, but i don't know if links is allowed on the forum.

The thin vertical stripes is visible for a couple of months now, but it didn't bother much as monitor is only used for CCTV. It is the red that's the problem.

Correct, and it is also a regular power cord.

The first thing i did was to check the caps, saw it on youtube. Also checked for any burn marks, but nothing. I've tried to get hold of a video controller, but the 2 online shops where i used to buy my crt parts from don't stock these.
