Hi
Gona revive old gpu nvidia gtx 285
My friend give it to me and he says its artifacting (line artifact)

Before i test it. I repair it by reflowing memory ic module.
then i tested it using my old crt monitor using adapter (dvi-i to vga)
And resulting a redish or pink color. Arifact seems fixed but it displaying wrong color.
I dont know if its vga conector problem,
or the gpu still faulty.
My screen was no problem when i connected dirrectly to igpu (vga)

i read some people fixing it by using hdmi monitor, they are all using (vga) monitor when facing this exact same problem.
But i still not convenient enough for buying new monitor. I worried its gpu related problem
Any advise?
Thanks

just connect to a TV via HDMI then.
if the color issue persists then you know it's the card.
I borrow hdmi monitor from my friend. And its working good.
then i bought a multimeter and find out this is a converter (dvi-i to vga) problem. The converter pin seems not making good contact with gpu pin

UPDATE: after fixing converter connection, screen still tinted red. I run a test and its missing green analog signal.
dont know if its vbios problem or hardware
