Red VGA Led when installing new GPU.

When I install a different gpu (Radeon R9 280x) the pc powers up and the GPU powers up but I get a red VGA led and no display. When I put my old GPU back in, the light is gone. Please help.

Try updating the motherboard's BIOS.
