Question Red VGA light on the motherboard is on

Had the pc for 3 years, problem only started occurring 2 days ago. I turned the pc off and woke up the next day to the VGA red light on the motherboard. The PC turns on; all lights come on and fans are spinning but the keyboard, mouse and monitor do not. I have switched ram slots, tried with only 1 ram stick, resat the gpu, taken out the cmos battery, took all cables out and started the pc and nothing works. I am wondering if a virus could cause this because the only thing i have changed about my pc is the day i turned it off i downloaded an extension from the opera GX browser. If this can’t be due to a virus or something i downloaded then i am not sure.
