My pc background is red with a white x , what happened?

Possible virus/malware...? Can you post a pic?
Maybe download and run a full malwarebytes scan, or use ESETs online AV tool, or some other tool to get rid of it. Don't use any links or tools that pop up on their own and try to get you to install them.
