reformatting the hard drive at the setup

Hello, anybody knows how to reformatting the hard drive disc at the setup? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Any newer o/s will automatically do that once the cd device is chosen as the boot device.
Put the o/s disc in the drive and select cd as boot device.
Restart pc
Once the black screen shows up
Click any key to proceed
