Hello friends, after many years again need help of this wonderful community. So I bought a new Samsung Odyssey G7 LS28AG7 claimed to have 144HZ refresh rate. I also have ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti . Monitor and GPU are connected with a DisplayPort cable provided with this new monitor.
Problem is that I cannot set refresh rate to 120 or 144 Hz in Windows' display settings, nor can I change refresh rate in Nvidia control Panel to 120/144Hz.
I can set 120/144Hz in monitor's OSD menu.
I can also set 120/144Hz both in Windows' display settings and Nvidia CP if I lower the resolution to 1440p or 1080p.
But I want 2160p@120/144Hz choice.

- Is it because the DP cable provided with the monitor is not capable?
- Is it GPU unable to deliver 4k@120/144Hz (Though GPU specs mentions DP 1.4)
- Do I need to buy a VESA certified DP cable ?
