Hi there,
I'm using a BenQ XL2430T connected with a display port to a GTX 980 ti. It worked fine at 144hz until recently. When i checked the refresh rate on nvidia control panel it still shows at 144hz but on windows resolution settings It wont give me an option higher than 60hz for 1920 x 1080.

Here's a screenshot with both panels side by side http://imgur.com/aqDFNii

This is a problem for when I'm in game. The resolution settings wont recognize 144hz as an option anymore therefore won't run higher than 60.

any solution would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello... Monitors sometimes come with a "driver" ?.inf file or disk... this CAN open up more setting choices in Window OS... try looking for that and loading it from the "device manger "for your monitor. B )
He said he is using Display Port. When you go into Windows Resolution and Advanced Settings does it only allow 60hz? My GTX770 gives me up to 120hz on my Dell S2716DG. I never had to touch the Windows Resolution....Nvidia CP did it all.

@turboshine THX missed that B /

Hello... There is no 144HZ communication/sync/cable standard for DisplayPort (@this time?)... is why you can not connect/set that way... Buyer beware.

Try 120hz as suggested by turboshine... will that work?

Also Running 'Dual-linked" DVI, monitor, cable... from the GPU can get 120HZ communication/sync

HDMI 1.4-2.? can give you 120HZ communication/sync too.

I used to be able to choose 144hz in windows resolution advanced settings but not anymore. Now i only get 50, 59 and 60 on 1080p resolutions but i still can choose up to 120 on some of the lower resolutions.

I used to be able to get 144hz with a DP cable until recently. I'm not sure if its the new driver i downloaded through Geforce Experience that caused the problem or not. Would you suggest that I roll back the driver to see if it will help or is it better not to do that?

YES! Thank you. I reran the display driver .inf file and it opened up all the other refresh rates once again. I did not have to roll back the nvidia drivers.
Thanks again for your help :)
