Refresh rate

Hi,
My refresh rate is set to 85Hz on my Sony Multiscan100sx monitor. However, when I play a game such as Deux Ex or Counterstrike, the refresh rate is obviously 60Hz. How can I fix this?

When I rule the world, Apple will only mean the fruit.

I would set the refresh rate at "optimum" and have peace of mind.

for some reason under win2k there is no "optimal" option available. The max. is 85Hz.

Go to Google.com and search for an utility called Hz Tool. It allows you to set the refresh rate for all resolutions. I tried it in WinME but i think it will not have a problem in win2k.

Hz Tooll doesn't work under Win2k...

Look in the game directory for an INI file and see if you can set it in there. I know you can do this for many games.
