First let me explain a bit. I bought this from a friend 4 years ago.
It was purchased as refurbished from Gateway on Gateway site on Ebay.
The box was never opened . I bought it for a spare and my other XP machine is still going.
Of course my friend kept saying I better try or the 30 day warrenty would be history . He was right it is .
I opened the box attached the Monitor,mouse and speakers.Booted it up it went thru the motions but no video at all . I am not sure if audio worked either but I think it did. I shut it down and restated it and I heard 3 faint beeps in sucession while it was booting .
Could the internal battery have gone dead or something else? I think it has onboard vid not a card. Is this a $250 boat anchor? Should have tried as soon as I got it home...After 60+ years I wont learn..... Maybe try a cheap video card? Last time I did that was an old Win 98 machine a HP and worked but never after you shut it off and restarted it .Something to do with the bios so I just went back to the onboard vid.
