Hello everyone,
I am having a Noctua NH D15 Chromax black air cooler for my Ryzen 9 5900x CPU. but the issue is that when I first installed the cooler, I had tightened the bracket fully as suggested by the manual. Then I placed the heatsink on the same and started screwing it. But at that point when I started screwing from both sides of the heat sink then It used to just turn around but it was not able to screw inside the bracket. Either it screwed in from one side then the other side used to lift up and visa versa.
So my question is do I have to put immense pressure on the heatsink so that it catches the screw of the bracket or there is some gap which I am not able to see.
As a solution I kept the bracket a few rounds lose and then the heatsink was able to get hold of the screw as the bracket was lifted above while screwing and the whole setup was tightened
SO kindly help me understand the mounting procedure.
My Spec -
