[SOLVED] Regarding Ram installation

So i have Corsair vengeance LPX 8gb ddr4 with clock speed of 2400Mhz. Recently i bought 8Gb DDR4 ram same company everything is same except the clock speed which is 3000 Mhz. I know if i install it my pc will reduce its speed to the memory which has the least clock speed. But what i wanna know is will it be compatible and work on my pc? My motherboard is MSI Z370 krait gaming.

I mean i know it supports dual links but some says there might be problems like my pc wont boot etc because of clock frequency difference? could that happen?

All you can do is try and hope 🙏 they work. Switch ram in a2 and b2 slots around for a second chance if they cause problems together.

Won't harm anything trying. It's always a gamble mixing ram even if they were the same spec.

ok i will try and one last question if it works will the 600 mhz down difference will make a significant amount of difference in fps in gaming? i have gtx 1080 and i-7 8700?

Na not much difference at all between 2400 & 3000. What will make more of a difference is running ram in dual channel. Dual channel doubles the bandwidth between cpu and ram and with that allows the cpu do more and probably see a reasonable boost in some cpu intensive games.
