Help with broken sata connector
Anyone here ever used Seagate ironwolf pro ?
Actually I have a synology nas ds920+ and unfortunately it slipped from a height of nearly 5 feet resulting in 2 of ironwolf pro (18tb) with broken sata connector and remaining 2 show no external damage at all but all 4 are not working
It’s less than a year I got them
I read on seagate website https://www.seagate.com/support/warranty-and-replacements/void-warranty-checklist/
The point 3 states that bent sata pins are acceptable for returns
Anyone here has ever had the same problem ever ?
And have they got replacements ever.
Can anyone please help me on this
Like can segate find out if drives were dropped ?
P.S: please don’t hate me
The rack on which the nas was kept just broke
I will never be careless enough to not safeguard it
