Hi there. As a new pc gamer, I run into a question today after update bios.
After update bios, it shows update successfully, will reset now.
Then black screen, then a tab pops up, says for smoother operation, please press F5 after enter bios, now Please press F1 to enter bios,.
I checked the bios version. It’s all up to date now.
I then pressed F5, F10 to save which prompt “you have not made any changes to bios”
Is this normal process to update bios?
Motherboard is Z890 Apex.

Thanks

it may have just already saved automatically so there's no change to save, usually the save changes key is to save changes you have selected within the bios, and not so much bios version. After you did this if you reboot the PC to bios and view the version, if it shows the new version code the update has been successful

Thanks for the reply, everything seems in order, I was just confused the tab that pops up after updating bios is normal or something wrong during process. Also if action I took is correct, don’t cause issues to bios or system
