Ok so I am wanting to remap/re-task my Realtek audio card jacks. I have done this before and it worked fine following the directions here (http://www.reaper-x.com/2012/02/13/how-to-remap-retasking-realtek-onboard-jacks-ports/). The only difference between now and then is I was running Windows 7 now I am running Windows 8.1. When I run regedit and modify pin 17 (grey) side speaker out and reboot the system to make the changes take effect they have reverted back to default. I have tried this many times originally before I even had any antivirus on the computer, since then have completely disabled avast to make the change and it still reverts to default. I am at a loss and just want to be able to have my sound system set up like before. Please Help!
