I have replaced my Intel MB with an Athlon DDR. How can I
reinstall Win2k through the "repair" option so the HAL is
redefined and my applications are recognized?

A reference to some documentation on the repair options in
the Win2k installation program would probably lead me to
the answer.

The NTbackup method described in that article may be OK
for moving to a bigger drive, but the HAL must be the same
for the old and the new system. In this case the HAL
will be different because the MB/chipset are changed.

I think an installation of the OS as though it were an
upgrade would produce the result I am looking for.

It takes an hour to re-install, i would do that and have a more stable installation. I read through the Microsoft page by the time i got halfway through it i could of had it re-installed
