Hi so i build my pc and having lots of issues and want to reinstall windows, i have the OS and a few other programs on my ssd and all my games ad stuff on my HDD, I only want to cleanly reinstall windows 10, how would i go about doing this without getting my hdd affected or my my programs in ssd affected? is it smart to disconnect the hdd before reinstalling? How DO you even fresh install windows?

Solution
Disconnecting your HDD is recommended so Windows won't use a partition of it for its boot partition (MBR or whatever is called now on W10). As for your SSD, the best way is to format it entirely and install windows on it, so I suggest backing up any important data from it onto your HDD (you could also make a partition in your SSD to keep those files there).

When making a fresh install you want to get rid of your programs because you need them fresh as well for Windows Registry to work properly, so get ready to reinstall all your programs as well. Some games will be able to run directly, others you'll need to reinstall them as well.

RaDikat is correct. It is advised to disconnect the HDD before Clean installing Windows 10. Also, you can take a Backup of Your Data in the SSD to the HDD and Fully Format the SSD. It'll help you to perform a Clean install of Windows.

In the case of games, they might not run directly as the Registry components are missing in case you clean install the Windows. So, Either Reinstall the Entire Game or Check if the Game Installation Folder in the HDD has the Registry Key to Double Click and Install it.
