I had windows 7 and for some reason it stopped working and I had two hardisks, one had os and the other had important data. Now I want to reinstall windows but I'm afraid that I'll lose data of the second hardisk. Now I want to know if I can just unplug the second hardisk and reinstall windows on the other hdd and after installation will I able to see my data?

Solution
If the 2nd HDD has only data, yes you can see them after you done the reinstallation. And you should disconnect the data HDD ( the 2nd one) before you try install the win7 in other drive. After done the installation, plug the data drive back in. Then you should be able to see your data.

Last thing, recommend to back up the data into other drive or DVD/CD disc.
