Reinstalling windows after gpu upgrade?

I am switching from an amd to an nvidia graphics card, what will i have to do?

Install Nvidia's drivers - http://www.geforce.com/drivers

You DO NOT need to reinstall Windows.

You obviously have to run DDU first to remove the old AMD drivers before you can install the new Nvidia drivers.

you need to clean the amd drivers since you are previously using an amd card before you install the nvidia card and its driver or u will have conflict.as mentioned above use DDU.

Im afraid ive gotten rid of the old card and i cant use my pc right now(mobo and cpu is broken). Can i take my hdd(game data and so on) and my ssd (where the os and some installed programs is) and plug it in to another pc and clean the drivers and so on that way?

u dont need the old card to remove the driver as the driver is store on the hdd.and yes u can move everything to another system and still do the wipe.

No, just install the new GPU and run DDU to remove the old AMD drivers. It shouldn't matter whether you do it before or after installing the new GPU.

are the drivers on the same drive as the os? I have an ssd for the os and some programs followed by the game data and installs on the hdd

Drivers are installed on the OS drive.

I havent got a working pc right now so i cant get rid of the drivers before the installation of the new gpu
