Reinstalling XP, lost ability to boot into 7

My windows XP crashed on me, so I reinstalled it with Windows 7 already on my system. Now when I boot up the system, the bootloader no longer appears and it boots straight into XP. I have tried easyBCD and VistaBCD and havnt had any luck. Does anyone know how I can boot back into 7

Hmm, EasyBCD should've done it. Have you tried the startup repair tool on the Win7 disk?

well it almost worked, now it boots straight into Windows 7 with no bootload. Maybe I messed something up when I was messing with easyBCD?

Run the install disk for win 7 and select the "startup repair" (or something along those lines) option. XP's bootloader is incompatible with Vista/Win 7 and it doesn't even know to look for them when it loads into the MBR.

Same thing happened to me, I was running dual boot and then I decided to format XP with a clean install, however Windows 7 wouldn't show in the boot menu I had to reinstall it :lol:
