Relationship between the RAM BUS speed and the CPU's

Currently there are RAMs out there with the 3200 bus. Also motherboards that support up to or more than that speed. However I haven't seen any CPU with a bus higher than 1333. I am wondering how are these related and is it any good to buy a 3200 RAM. Thanks.

That was the stock RAM speed supported by CPU. You have to enable XMP profile for your memory in the BIOS to use speeds over 1600 MHz. Any memory can work at any speed as long as your motherboard supports it.
