I have a pretty new drive that already seems to be failing me. My computer constantly freezes for no apparent reason. My drive is a 500GB Hitachi hard drive. It just contains some steam and origin games, about 100GB worth. Heres a screenshot of what I saw . Why is my drive already failing??? I've had computer drives last for 8 years+. This one is only 2 years old.

I"m not sure what you're asking here.
Are you asking why some mechanical devices fail earlier than others?

It's simple: Some are more stable and better built than others.
Modern drives are highly unlikely to last 5+ years in general. The warranty period is typically the best indicator of average reliability, though nothing will make a bigger difference than a proper backup.
