Question Releasing PCI slot latches on ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI motherboard?

I have an ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI motherboard. It works fine, but, I want to remove and reorganize a few PCI cards. It seems to release the slot latches would require enough force to break things. Has anyone encountered this, and possibly have suggestions on how to move the latches? Thanks! BTW, been here since around 2008 but never posted before!...;^)

Have you removed the screws from the PCIe expansion slots?

Best practice is to simultaneously pull the card out of the slot and depress the slot latch. You don't want to rely on the latch to actually lift the card out.
