Question Remote desktop connection dropping issue

I am running windows 10 pro with the newest updates and hardwired by ethernet cable to my router and after connecting to my VPN and then opening up my remote desktop the connection to internet drops out making it impossible to get any work done.
Speed tests all come back excellent. I have updated all my drivers for my adapter. I even installed a new one directly from Realtek that my software is through that is specifically for ethernet connections and nothing seems to be resolving the issue. My work IT department has looked at my system and all its specs and it is well above the minimum requirements needed to run remotely to the work systems so know one seems to be able to understand why it is dropping connection. Assist?

Can you check and see which version of Windows 10 you're on at the moment? Can you see if another remote desktop app like AnyDesk has the same issue with connection dropouts?
