Remote Desktop Connection

How does someone change there password for Remote Desktop Connection on Windows 8.1?
The Remote Desktop uses my Microsoft email address for the user but when it asks for the credentials to connect the the Remote Desktop it says that they are wrong but they work when logging into other things with the email!

If you're using a microsoft account, the format should be as follows

username: microsoftaccount\<microsoft account email address>

username: <computername>\<username> << this is for local account

Try local account, it will be easier. I think you should check settings RDP windows key + break advanced system settings > remote > configure. (You have to do this on computer you're trying to connect)

I get the the screen on Remote Desktop after you connect to the IP, the bit where it asks you to log in.
The username says microsoftaccount/<myemail> But the credentials i use for that email do not work on the Remote Desktop login?

Could you provide some kind of picture and post it? do you have the correct trust settings?

The settings are correct because i have connected to my home computer using RDC before but now for some reason whenever i enter the credentials using the MicrosoftAccount\email@domainname.com username and password for that user it tells me that the credentials are incorrect?
