Simple and fast problem:

I have 2 SSD's;
I started to use them on RAID 0 mode;
Didn't like it;
I want to come back using the IDE mode but I can't;
Why? IDK. After deleting the LOGICAL DRIVE with the RAID Utility w/ the BIOS, I changed the RAID MODE to the IDE MODE and when I tried to install Windows 7 as I used to, the Installation can't find any of my both SSD's drives.

What do I do? Help.

Solution

did you click the "Drive Options (Advanced)" link on the lower right of that windows ?
That usually would show you all the drives available and allow you to delete existing partitions and/or format the drives.

Anyways, wiping the drive should get it...
You removed the logical drive, but the partition still exists....you will have to do a "custom install" and remove the partitions. In some cases, the RAID BIOS makes it to where you might have to wipe the drives with a utility prior to installing Windows.

You dont want IDE mode anyways. you want ahci mode for ssd's.
Do the drives show up if your click the drive or advanced options link from the 'where do you want to install windows to' screen?
if so delete all the existing partitions then use the drive to install windows to.
if not - Are the drives being seen in the bios?

The bios can see both drives;
And no, in the "where do you want to install windows" that's exctly the moment that the system can not detect the drives.

And is there a way to delete those partitions? This is a photo of my RAID utility:

Anyways, wiping the drive should get it to show up out on that main screen too so all is good.
