remove Skydrive from Windows Explorer

I originally installed SkyDrive. Then I realized it was not doing a backup, rather it was copying my files into the SkyDrive location on my Hard Drive. I uninstalled SkyDrive software. Yet the entire SkyDrive file structure remained on my Hard Drive taking up too much space. I am unable to just delete files. I get errors like the file name is too long to go to recycle bin. Meanwhile, my laptop might crash any time since it is now running at 98% capacity. I have no idea had to fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to your SKyDrive (these days, OneDrive) account, and remove your PC from there. Then, restart in safe mode, uninstall SkyDrive, delete SkyDrive folder.
