Removing a copy from the c drive

my c drive copied my1TB external harddrive. now i can't delete the copy without removing files in the external drive. If I unplug the usb on the external HD . The copy in drive c doesn't show. Any ideas please and thank you

I was reading another thread I have a drive docking station to read and use old drives from past pc's. It has a cloning feature could I by accident cloned a copy to my c drive ? thanks

Reading your post, those don't sound like copies but links to files.
