Question Removing AM4 backplate

I have B450 Tomahawk and I'm planning to change my Wraith Stealth cooler soon. I've realized the desired model comes with it's dedicated backplate. My question is - how do I remove the backplate that came preinstalled with my motherboard (and not harm the mobo itself?)

The four phillips screws that hold the black plastic retention pieces to the top of the motherboard screw into the backplate. When you remove those screws, the backplate can be removed. You may have to remove your motherboard from your case, if the backplate is not accessible.
