I have an Asus A7V8X-X with a Semprom2400+ on it.
I had to reset the bios, and for so, i removed the battery (with everything turned off... just don't remember if i removed of the eenergy cable). When i put the battery there again and turned the pc on,it didnt. 🙁
I remember feeling a "little" discharge when removing the battery.
Now the pc wont turn on!!

Symptoms:
- PSU fan, CPU fan are working fine
- Motherboard has its own led, that is glowing
- HD and DVDRW are getting power
- Display is not working (Monitor is going in power saving mode, by blinking led on it)
- No single beep sound from board

If the mobo is fried, then, the other components, such as RAM, VGA card and procesor will be fried too?

Help me!!!!!!!

Try and find the Clear CMOS jumper. Disconnect power, put it in Clear CMOS mode, power up, boot up.
Then disconnect power again, put jumper in normal mode, power up again, boot up.

A little discharge...like a small static shock?? Well, if it is the case, you may have burned something on the board. I dont think that everything is fried, maybe only the board....well it is enough thou...

I would try to reset the BIOS once again, with the power cord unplugged from the wall and leave the battery out for at least 3-4 minutes...then put it back and try again. If it dont work, then it might be time to try the Asus customer's service...

-Always put the blame on you first, then on the hardware !!!

The little discharge was your motherboard's way of telling you, "Hey, dude, I've still got my 5v power rail active. What are you doing?" If you can't default it you may have scrambled your BIOS chip. You can order a new chip from ASUS or just send the board back. I doubt if anything is seriously fried but you never know.
