(Sorry, this is the right one)

Hi,

Maybe this question is quite stupid but I'd like to ask if I just delete
the BDC's computer account in Server Manager of the PDC and shutdown the
BDC that I'd like to remove is it ok? or any other steps are needed to
make sure there isn't any workstation to try connecting the removed BDC
and cause any error.

Thanks a lot,

Ronald.

If you are running WINS you should also open the WINS
database and delete all mappings pertaining to that particular.
BDC name. Also you might need to reboot the PDC as well
just in case the 1c netbios name goes into conflict which will
prevent your clients from finding a DC for authentication. MS
Windows clients will setup a secure communication with a DC
during the boot process and use that particular DC for domain
authentication so it's quite possible some clients will complain
until a reboot.
