I was wondering how I could possibly remove the glass from this front panel of my prebuilt PC. Im planning to add a mesh filter in place of the glass for better airflow.

the specs in full caps came with the prebuilt, these r all the info I was provided with when I contacted the manufacturer

cpu: OEM INTEL CORE PROCESSOR I7-12700KF 8P/16 + 4E 3.60GHZ 25MB CACHE [W/O GRAPHIC] 125W LGA1700

cpu cooler: CYBERPOWERPC DEEPCOOL CASTLE 240EX ARGB AIO LIQUID CPU COOLER W/ ANTI-LEAK TECHNOLOGY

and DEEPCOOL CASTLE AIO LIQUID CPU COOLER RETENTION KIT (LGA1700 & LGA115X)

fans (not sure which): CYBERPOWERPC DUAL ADDRESSABLE DIGITAL ARGB 120MM FAN 3PINS

ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM PC4-28800 DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V

ssd: 1TB WD BLUE SN570 PCIE NVME M.2 SSD & Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe M.2 Internal SSD

gpu: EVGA GEFORCE RTX 3070 XC3 ULTRA GAMING 8GB GDDR6 LHR

os: WINDOWS 11 HOME ADVANCED DIGITAL LICENSE

case: CYBERPOWERPC AMETHYST II 241V MID W/ TEMPERED GLASS (BLACK) 3 X ARGB FAN RETAIL

psu: APEVIA 800WATT GOLD 80 PLUS POWER SUPPLY

motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z690-P WIFI DDR4 ATX Wi-Fi 6 2.5GBE LAN 4 PCIE X16 1PCIE X1 3X M.2 SATA/PCIE LGA1700 CEC

Something does not look right.....

Before doing anything (especially trying to separate glass from the panel) I recommend that you take a closer look at the current fan locations.

As near as I can determine (or can see anyway) the two red LED fans should not be that close to the glass to begin with. And replacing the glass with mesh may run afoul of designed in case airflows. Net effect being the problem(s) becoming worse...

Which begs the question what problems are occuring that mesh or other actions (TBD) might solve?

More information and details needed.

Make and model case?

Post some interior case photographs and indicate the airflows with regards to all fans.

Imgur seems to be working so post images accordingly.

there aren't any problems; I'm planning to get a new GPU and thought that mesh would improve airflow. I actually thought of not touching the original panel, leaving it out, and covering the front with mesh. I don't think it'll mess up the airflow, please correct me if I'm wrong tho.

The PC case according to Cyberpower is: CYBERPOWERPC AMETHYST II 241V MID W/ TEMPERED GLASS (BLACK) 3 X ARGB FAN RETAIL

image of interior and airflow <- red circles are fans, blue rectangle is radiator, and white is what the airflow is.. air comes from a slit above

To start with it is good that there are no problems.

However, I believe there is some risk of creating problems. Two immediate reasons:

1) A new GPU may demand more power (current PSU?) and generate more heat.

2) Installing mesh, as is being considered, very likely to change the internal case airflows in some manner For better or worse. I do not know either way.,

Update your post to include full hardware specs and OS information.

Existing and new GPUs?

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used).

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

I found the following CyberPower link:

https://support.cyberpowerpc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035094134-How-To-Re-position-Case-Fans

Four fans at the front panel? Two inside, two outside? Or are the red circles just indicating the intake and exhaust sides of two fans?

Hopefully with some additional information available that will solicit further questions, ideas, and suggestions.

Overall objective being to not set up for bad things to happen....

I updated my post with my specs

my current psu that came with the PC is (APEVIA 800WATT GOLD 80 PLUS POWER SUPPLY. age is probably around 1 year since that's when i got my PC, The condition is new I'm pretty sure.

my current GPU is EVGA GEFORCE RTX 3070 XC3 ULTRA GAMING 8GB GDDR6 LHR

Im going to also buy this psu along with GPU (4080 asus tuf or gigabyte gaming oc, idk which. if you have any suggestions for reliable brands please lmk)
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5, 80 Plus Gold 1000W, Fully Modular, ECO Mode with Fdb Fan, 10 Year Warranty, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply 220-G5-1000-X1

the fan config is 2 inside and 2 outside, radiator is between the pairs of fans, Im pretty sure both of the front 2 fans are intake.

i mean all you have included is a link to the 3rd party site, not the actual images here on Tom's.

the majority of users here browsing threads are not going to chase your links down to another site.
include them so that they actually show here in the thread.
any idea on what links work? i tried imgur links but they wouldn't work

@Znn

Go to imgur's website at www.imgur.com.

In the upper left screen corner there should be a Green rectangular " + New post' button.

Click that button and use the "drop images" window.
i know how to make imgur links. the problem is that idk how to include the imgurs link so that the pic shows up on this website, instead of the text hyperlink. whenever I try using the insert image option and include the imgur link, it says it "image cannot be loaded form passed link"
