I'm trying to install win10 on an NVME disk. It fails. CHKDSK find errors but is unable to fix them. DISKPART cannot remove the write protection that's blocking CHKDSK.

I can't find any solutions that don't involve using a windows GUI, which I can't access.

Any ideas? I'm thinking perhaps the disk is faulty but don't have a spare to test with.

Solution
I had faulty RAM module leading to fancy behaviour... Windows install froze at different points, or was unable to restart after seemingly successful install... Up to the point when I decided to boot live MemCheck86 Linux CD to check my RAM.
OK so the RAM has failed memtest. If I replace the RAM, I'll still have the same issue installing windows to the hard disk, right? Or could the faulty RAM be the cause of the hard drive issues also?
