I7 12700
Arctic II 240 AIO
Gigabyte z690 Aorus Pro
MSI 3080 Gaming Trio X
32 GB 5200mhz DDR5 Kingston Fury
Evga 1000watt Platinum P5
3 WD850 SSD drives. 1 Samsung 1tb EVO sata drive
Issues
PC would have random shut downs
PC would power cycle on reboot
PC would need multiple attempt to enter bios
PC would crash and bsod to critical fatal error and would not recover through windows tools and recovery. It would also not recognize the OS drive and points toward a different hd on the PC though the OS drive is viewable on the bios list of Hard Drives.. and shows up when I use CMD to list disk and check volumes, in cmd SanDisk and recovery and repair commands run and complete but it never fixes the issue and after it says fixed it never enters Windows on boot just returns to critical BSOD and I have to completely reinstall windows
SFC Scan is always finding corrupt files
PC had weird hardware warnings and errors (PCI Express Root port Event 17 WHEA logger) DCOM, Kernel errors, application popop up error events, in event log even with a fresh install. The event viewer is a mess of errors and warnings
PC would got really hot the other night before the last fatal crash, without warning it the fans speed up to 100% and the system froze and crashed in under one min.
The Ethernet connection on the PC stalls in downloads, there are numerous DCOM errors and warnings in Event Viewer.. I have to resort to using the onboard Wifi 6 which I've never had an issue with.
The power profile on the PC sometimes randomly changes..
Remedies
I've run all the various cmd functions checkdisk, SFC Scan, DISM, Bootrec
Reinstalled fresh operating system
Updated bios
Used only default bios settings no overclock, removed Memory XMP and used default
Reseated Ram, Reseated Video Card, Reseated CPU Fan, replugged in all motherboard, cpu and gpu power connectors
Checked to make sure PSU fan is running
Ran memtest86 for 5 cycles, Windows memory tool- no errors
Run Intel's CPU Diagnostics Tool- All Passed
Installed Windows on different and brand new SSD, same issues occur
Run Extended SMART tests, no errors
Updated all drivers using Intel update
Rolled Bios back and forth
Run various stress tests like Cinibemch, Aida64, PassMark etc.. no issues on full load.. granted I didn't run them for days but for 2-3 hours nothing abnormal, no heat issues, no weird voltage stuff I could see, fans ran perfectly, on full stress CPU didn't go past 72c. GPU didn't go past 65c
The case has excellent airflow
So I'm hoping it's the Motherboard because I've got so many issues that it's probably not the PSU and if it were the CPU or ram it would be more obvious in CPU and system bench testing but I'm not completely sure.. It is a rev 1.0 motherboard. I just don't know what other tests I can perform, other than changing out hardware which is going to be absurdly expensive for me.. I'm starting with the MB I can't think of anything. I also can't duplicate the issues at will because they are random and the system could run perfectly for a couple of days before all the issues start, I monitor HardwareInfo heavily and then BOOM critical fatal failure BSOD.. reboot, power cycling, black screen, eventually it gets me into the Bsod screen and reboots again, windows trouble shooter, nothing works, it doesn't allow me to choose a restore point, says it can't fix the system.. no CMD functions repair it and I have to perform a fresh install and everything works like a charm, until it does not.
This is not my first build, I've never seen these issues and the fact that the hardware failure is random is making it impossible for me to determine what it is that needs to be replaced. I'm completely without a clue at this point.. any help would be appreciated
