so i saw many reviews and benchmarks says that the r9 390 better than gtx 970 specially in the 4GB or 4.5GB vram and it's more future proof does it worth to replace my gtx for r9 390 or not! and btw i play on 1080p....thanks
If you were getting an r9 390x(=gtx 980) I would say do it but snice it's for a r9 390 I would say no
i saw few directx 12 benchmarks the r9 390x is all way better than the gtx 980 i think AMD will be better in the next gen. games and their GCN architecture is better than nvidia's maxwell architecture right? i think i will use my gtx 970 for 2 years or so and my next upgrade will be AMD.....i think for now GTX 970 with i5 4690 can handle the upcoming games in high settings or so
Defiantly keep your gtx 970 it's not worth the 75 to get an r9 390
At 1080 not sure youll see major gains but it wouldn't be the worst $75 you ever spent
i found this video for fps battle in 4k resolution in many different games for different 4 cards i didn't find huge fps difference what's your opinion! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PglwxGCibn4

It's about a 4 -6 fps diffence at most at 4k... at most lol I forgot that the 390x is only a tiny bit more powerful than those cards lol:lol:

lol although the r9 390x is significantly stronger the fps gap isn't high at 4K! that is strange lol! nvidia cards are powerful in DX 11 but i think AMD will beat them in DX 12 for the next few years

Keep the GTX 970, and wait for the 16nm GPU's that will be out in about 9-12 months. For the same money you that you would spend on that R9 card, you will be able to buy one that is very close to double the speed of the GTX 970 or the R9 card. And it will have HBM2 which is much faster than GDDR5.
And the new cards next year will support features of DirectX 12 that none of the cards today will support.
