Is it possible to replace the 1155 in my tower with a 1151?

I want to know if it's possible, before I start spending money on upgrading it.

Well, you can't replace a physical socket, but you can buy a used LGA 1151 motherboard, compatible CPU, and compatible RAM. If your current motherboard is proprietary in terms of power, you'll need a new PSU. If your current motherboard in terms of form factor, you'll need a new case.

It's difficult to say much for certain as there are many variations of the 660s. From small form factor style PCs to mid towers. Pentiums to 3rd gen i3/i5/i7s. I am certain about one thing though. I wouldn't start start dumping money into a very dated proprietary Dell computer. Your money would be better well spent elsewhere. Whether building a modern rig from scratch, piecing together used last gen hardware or buying a (good) modern prebuilt. Ultimately, the hardware depends on the needs. But this Dell can serve very few uses in the modern world.
