Hi, I'd like to ask your help to confirm if i could swap over one delta psu model with another.

So i have this very old (15yo) Vostro 410 (with the og Core2 quad processor) which i've been keeping as part of a sentimental collection. It still runs fairly well on Win10, ssd's and other updated parts, until this week. The original PSU had enough.

That PSU is a delta DPS-350VB-1B. I've been trying to find a replacement but can't find an exact part to match that's priced reasonably. Then i chanced upon another delta PSU on ebay with almost the same form factor and specs, the DPS-350JB-1B. I'm not so concerned about whether it would fit the atx case, I just need to backup my files before i give it a send off. My question is would the JB work in place of the VB?

Alternatively, what other PSU would you recommend as a replacement?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Looking at the motherboard;

it doesn't seem to have any proprietary connectors on it. Furthermore the case you have(and the PSU that came with the Dell Vostro prebuilt, regardless of the DT or MDT variant) is in an ATX form factor;

meaning you can purchase pretty much any off the shelf aftermarket PSU. You could effectively pick up a reliably built 450W unit or an entry level 450W/550W unit.
