My HP laptop's battery has stopped working. It does not hold a charge, and the BIOS alerts me that the battery needs replacing on every startup. The existing battery is HP 919700-850, which came with the laptop.

Amazon has numerous compatibles, but many of the reviews cite issues like, doesn't work, doesn't hold a charge, stopped working after a short time, recharges to << 100%, etc. Postings on eBay indicate there are a number of fake "genuine HP" batteries as well.
My question: Is there a reliable replacement battery supplier for compatibles?
