Replacement for Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

Hi

I'm looking for a similarly ergonomical wireless mouse replacement for my Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. I'm in South Africa, but I'm willing to consider importing from wherever.

Here's what it looks like:

I've had mine for about seven or eight years and I want to look around for a replacement while I'm still under no pressure to buy immediately. (I've been ignoring that little voice in my head for two months to shop around, so now seems like a good time to start! 🙂 Its ergonomics REALLY help me. However, as far as I can tell they're off the market.

I have not but I know it would be more comfortable then my Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX. I'd consider buying it if it worked on glass like my mouse does.
Sometimes with my mouse i have to hold it at strange angles to reduce wrist discomfort.

Thanks JQB45. This Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 REALLY helps me with comfort and reduces wrist, hand and arm strain. It also has the added bonus of putting really puzzled looks on the faces of people who stop at my desk! ("What on earth is that thing?!" "Is that your mouse?" "How do you use it?" 🙂

Haha, I had to look at them both for a few minutes before I could appreciate the intelligence behind the design.

Yeah, for some people they're pretty amazing and comfortable but for others they're not. When I started to use the 6000 my hand muscles and wrist muscles actually hurt from the unusual "strain" (actually just muscles that I hadn't used.) After using it for about an hour or so it felt superb, no pain and significantly less strain than a normal mouse.

So are there any other suggestions from anyone about a good replacement?

hey mr jackson,

mine is also at his end, bought the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse (L6V-00001), Black.
this one is smaller en lower than the 6000. so not a good replacement. i use the 6000 at work. so needs to work a long stretch with the mouse. the new model can be used for a smaller time cyclus, not suitable for my work anway.

hope there will be a simular mouse like the natural 6000 for a nice price on the market soon. have you tried to e-mail microsoft sales for this? whas thinking to do so.
