Replacement for MSI X79A-GD45 PLUS

I have a MSI X79A-GD45 PLUS motherboard that got fried by a thunderstorm power surge. I'm looking to replace it, but I'm curious if the professionals here at Tom's would suggest for the price quality whether I should get the exact same model, or is there is a better choice for about the same price range?

That's a pretty good board. You can buy the same again. But could you tell the exact processor model you're using i7 or Xeon? We may be able to get a better one.

Might look at the Asus X79 Deluxe, a newer X79 model and a very good deal right now at the Egg

My current CPU is a Intel Core i7-4820K 3.7GHz. Ty for getting back to me! I'll go check out that Asus X79 Deluxe right now.
