So after WD decided to let go on the green series, it is difficult to choose which HDD would you go for storage purposes only (dont wanna waste money on blue..).
So my question is which is a good HDD to do the same job as green did, low profile high capacity "storage HDD" ?
Keep in mind the current market only holds old patches of the green series.
min 2TB max 4TB, suggestion please ?

Hey there, @Zatlon!

We just merged the WD Green to the WD Blue family as our mainstream PC storage solutions. This was done in order to make it easier for our customers to choose the correct drive for their desktop or laptop. The previously known as WD Green is now in the 5,400 RPM-class WD Blue drives (with available capacities up to 6 TB in size), we still have the 7,200 RPM WD Blue with up 1 TB capacity only. Models up to 1 TB can be both 5400-RPM & 7200-RPM Class. Models that are 2 TB and above are 5400-RPM. You can refer to the WD Blue Family product page on our website for more model specs & details. These drives still incorporate the IntelliSeek feature that calculates optimum seek speeds and lowers power...

Well I would get a blue if it was the same price as green, unfortunately it isnt, and I want a reliable hard disk with a long lifespan and low cost, such as the green (I really dont get why they would just stop making them)
Link me some please.

The green and blue are literally the same with the same price. HDD prices in general change all the time, and every once in a while they spike, and then they go back down.

This must have been new, as when I purchased my 1TB blue it was more expensive than the green one, and it was a 7200 rpm not the 5400 rpm (which is for storage I think ?!)

Well thats sums it all, thanks a lot.

Yes, what i've been trying to tell you for a whole bunch of posts before the paid rep came in... :pfff:
