Hey!
My current computer was fried during a power surge, i need to get a new computer, mostly for games.
prefereably with a p35 for future upgrade path.
Can anyone recomend me a system for around or less than $800.
I am thinking something like this.

Intel Core 2 Duo E2160
Asus P5K Intel P35
OCZ 2GB KIT (2x1024MB) DDR2 800 (PC6400) Platinum XTC Memory
Radeon x1950pro or x1950xt
Tuniq TOWER 120 CPU Cooler
Ezcool 450W ATX Powersupply
Antec p180 or Antec 900
2x sata hdd 320gb
2x sata dvdr

Those Antec cases are really good cases, but expensive. Since this is for a gaming rig, I would seriously recommend checking out some cheaper cases(there are some good flow cases at half the price) and spend the extrabucks on a 8800gts. There is some argument that the 1950s are still more powerful that the low end 8800s, but they are old technology. I just put together a machine similar to what you are doing and used a cheap(but very well reviewed) Foxconn 8800gts 320, and I can tell you it runs STALKER and Supreme Commander maxed out with no problems!
Also, its a small thing(cost wise and in philosophy), but do you really need 2 dvd burners?

Cheers!

Hey thanks for all the comments so far.
I'd love to get the 8800 instead if anyone could recommend a cheaper but good case as an alternative. And yeah i think the 2nd burner is a bit of overkill.
