Replacement of Samsung Spinpoint HM321HI hard disk

I need replace the HDD, my current HDD is Samsung Spinpoint HM321HI. When I tried Seagate Barracuda HDD, I m not able to connect due to hardware port difference. My new HDD doesn't fit in my laptop, although both are 2.5 inch HDD. Please suggest any other HDD.

On the old drive, there is probably still an adapter connected it, that allows connection to the laptop.
See if you can remove that. It should expose normal SATA data and power connections.

You'd then put that adapter on the new drive.
