[SOLVED] Replacement screen for Acer VG240Y?

Hello,

I've accidentally cracked the screen on my Acer monitor. (model VG240Y)

I've looked around on the internet and I cannot find a replacement screen for this particular model, I've looked everywhere but I still haven't found any results.

Is there a replacement screen for this model? Will I need to get it repaired? (I brought it second-hand) Is there any recommendations you may have? I can still see most of the screen, there's just a big crack near the right hand corner of the screen.

It is likely that a replacement screen will not be worth it.
Even if you could find one.
I have tried to repair a monitor with a good screen but bad electronics.
They are complicated with delicate wiring.
So easy to mess things up.

You might as well start shopping for a new monitor.

New panel would likely cost more than simply replacing the monitor. And, as above, working inside these monitors is not for the faint of heart or newbies as there are a great many things (cables and such) that will break if just looked at the wrong way.

Fair enough, I might as well sell the one I have already for half the price (obviously due to the crack)

It's not worth even half price with a broken screen. It's worth perhaps $25 for parts to someone that needs that specific model and picks it up locally.
