i have an HP Compaq 8300 elite MT (original) with very high specs, but i can't fit the MSI G1 gtx 970. so I'm thinking of moving all the hardware from it to another more suitable case, is it possible, and if so what case would you recommend, and finally do i have to change the power supply ( i have one in mind )

please help cuz I'm at the end of my rope here

Yes it is possible to move the hardware from one case to an other (as long as you know how to reconnect the cables). Now in order to propose a case, a budget is necessary. as for the power supply (PSU) can you tell me how big the onboard is (watt, not dimensions) and if it has the necessary extra power connectors for your graphics cars?

The psu will be good for a GTX970.
The supplied 300w psu is not.

If your motherboard is M-ATX(4 rear slots) it will fit M-ATX cases or larger ATX(7 slots) cases.
Past that, it is your choice.
Buy one you like to look at.
If it fits your motherboard and has two 120mm intake fans it will do the job.

I happen to like the Silverstone PS07 and TJ08E M-ATX cases, about $80-100.

ok i found out that my current motherboard doesn't support a good power supply so that has to change, and the new course of action is the following:- get a new motherboard and use the
1. current processor ( intel(r) core(tm) i7-3770 cpu @ 3.40ghz (8 cpus) 3.4ghz)
2. 16gb ram ddr3 (4 pieces 4gb each)
now what do i need other than the suggested case , and power supply ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094 ) will this do if not suggest a better one and suggest an excellent motherboard
