I'm considering replacing my Dual 21" CRT monitors with new LCDs. For just a couple bucks more I can go from 22" Wides to 24" wides.

Will 24" wides be too much when set side by side?

I'm also considering Samsung T240HD monitors, good choice?

Thanks for any help

The downside of choosing a 1680 x 1050 vs 1920 x 1200 monitor is if you are watching HD video (Blu-Ray) because they are all 1920 x 1080 resolution (actual aspect ratio can vary though). On 1680 x 1050 or smaller monitor there will be a little loss of visual quality since the resolution must be shrunk down to fit the monitor.

It's not a terrible loss of quality. The average person probably will not notice unless comparing a 1680 x 1050 and 1920 x 1200 (1080) monitor side by side. It's just something to be aware of.
